• PASSION PROJECT

The Passion Project is entirely student driven and focused. Students explore their own chosen passion through this rigorous and interactive 8-week long lesson that incorporates 21st-century skills, technology integration, research skills, interviewing, presenting, taking action and reflection. The final product is magic! It involves students presenting to authetnic audience and also incorporating an action project that actually makes an impact on a community. Students have impacted the homeless community, wildlife preservation organizations, youth homes and more!

  • ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT

Students explored the impact of plastics on the environment through a variety of hands-on, PBL and 21st-century-based skills. I created the interactive digital components that had them creating portfolios using Canva and other design programs. I also created all worksheets. The final product had students create presentations to our local waste-management organization to ensure their plastic recycling program evolves.

  • Rubrics

I created rubrics that authentically assess students and their abilities in order to promote growth mindset and goal setting. Students can set goals using paper or digital versions of the rubrics. I have also created them for oral presentation skills, communication skills, collaboration and for each of my projects. It speaks to the diversity and different abilities of the learners.
